I've been working on a personal project called Space Imagined, a browser-based tool for exploring our stellar neighborhood. My goal was to create a simple, accessible way to visualize different star systems. Here's what it can do right now: Explore 220 real star systems, including familiar names like TRAPPIST-1, Kepler-186, and of course, Alpha Centauri. A connected wormhole network lets you travel between them (with the Solar System ↔ Alpha Centauri as the main, permanent link). Stars are tinted based on their type (G-type like our Sun, M-type red dwarfs, etc.) to give a sense of variety. Our Solar System is simulated using real orbital data from NASA for its major bodies. You can switch between a top-down "explorer" mode and a first-person "spaceship" mode. Important Note: Outside of our Solar System, the other systems are currently just placeholders with star markers—planets and accurate orbits are a long-term goal!.Speed Controller is buggy right now I've put together a short video to demo the features, which I will link in the comments below. This is purely a passion project (no ads or anything like that). I'm sharing it here because I'd love to get feedback from genuine space enthusiasts. What do you think? Is this an interesting concept, and what features would you be most excited to see in the future? Thanks for taking a look!
